PEEPLI LIVE Movie Still
Peepli Live, produced by Aamir Khan released last week recorded above average first weekend collections. Friday was on the lower side, but noteworthy jump was recorded on Saturday and Sunday. A film like Peepli Live wasn’t expected to do that good even though Aamir Khan is the master mind behind this film. A 15.50 crores nett is collected over the first weekend, which is much above the expected figure.
Delhi and Up have shown strong collections while West Bengal and Nizam recorded the lowest figures.
However, on Monday Peepli Live collected 2 crores which shows a drop of 50%. Since it fared really well on Saturday and Sunday that kind of a drop was unexpected. It was expected to sustain the collections due to the word of mouth. Now, the film is heading for 6-6.5 crores nett weekday collections which will produce a whole total of 22 crores nett approximately after the first weekend. This also suggests that film may end up with 35 crores nett lifetime business, which is an excellent total for a small budget movie.
